Keep Coming Back

June 23rd, 2004

Whenever I see the moon at night

I realize that loving you was never right

Whenever you see the sunrise

you realize that I’m the mistake of your life

I keep telling myself

How can we be lovers

if we can’t even be friends?

How can we be lovers

if there is no love at the other end?

There is nothing I can do

I know your love isn’t true

Yet, I give away my heart

and I keep coming back to you

Once there was a moon in my nights

Now there are only tears in the dark

Once I thought loving you was so right

Now I’m bleeding next to a shark

I keep lying to myself

Why should it really matter

if I can bring this love to life?

Why should it really matter

if it feels wrong or right?

There is nothing called me & you

I know my dream isn’t true

Yet, I beg for another start

And I keep coming back to you

Once there was a sun in your sky

Now there is only the eclipse of my heart

Once I was the sight of your eyes

Now you’re stumbling blind in the light

Yet, I hold your hand next to my heart

Yet, I love you as we were never apart

I know loving you is so wrong

But I don’t want to be right
