Mermaid

October 26th, 1989

I was just thinking about those lonely nights

when I waited for Venus to knock on my door

I didn't believe my eyes under the moonlight

when a mermaid emerged at the shore

My heart beat faster as she laid down by my side

She took control of my body and my mind

I felt her naked body with my bare hands

And kissed her sweet lips as the flood tides

She spoke softly in my ear

words of love that carry tears

She comes out of water once in life

She took my eyes, my heart & didn't set me free

I keep saying to myself she's a dream

But my heart starts missing beat

As my mind begins to sleep

I remember the way she left with tears

She had to leave before sunrise

Or curses will take the light of her eyes

She disappeared in a wave of tears

To leave me with a broken heart in my living years
