They say:
“Your heart is wrecked
& your eyes are always wet
for you were insane!”
I say:
“What do you expect
from he who gave his life’s best
for a love he could not obtain?!!”
They say:
“You may not be fit
or you could be almost dead
for that you’re in pain!”
I say:
“My soul has just left
but my heart still did not quit
How could my body not complain?!!”
They say:
“Your mask was ripped
alike what you wrote & said
for you loved in vain!”
I say:
“Have you no self-respect?
My poetry has become a hit
and as a legend I shall remain!!!”
